5 TECHNICAL MYTHS YOU SHOULD NOT
BELIEVE UPON
Try to answer the following questions with yes or no:
- By pressing F5 button or refresh our system becomes faster?
- More signal bars in our mobile means better network quality?
- Using antivirus software means you are 100%
safe
It is true that if you have an antivirus
installed on your system then there is less chance that virus can attack your
system. That doesn't mean that you are 100% safe.
If there comes some new
virus about which the antivirus software is unknown, then it can attack your
system. But it is true that if the software already knows that virus before,
then it can block that from attacking your system. So, the best thing you can
do is don't visit the malware websites and never install unknown
applications on your system.
- Always update your system or smartphone to
ensure better performance
I think you are also
among them who thought that we should update our system as soon as it arrives.
By doing this we get the
best performance for our device. But this is not the case every time.
A buggy update can ruin your experience. So, wait for some
day and don't be rush to update your device as soon as it arrives.
- Refreshing
the system make it faster
This myth is very common
among PC users. Every time they are on the desktop, they start clicking F5 or
refreshing their system. They believe that refreshing the system will make it
faster.
But they are wrong. It
only refreshes the screen you are on and it only looks if something is added or
removed from that particular screen. For instance, if you paste something that
you have copied before in desktop but it is not showing you, refreshing the
desktop will make it appear there. But its function is not to make your
system faster.
- More
RAM means better performance
RAM is not the only factor that
decide the speed of your system or smartphone. There are other factors too. RAM
only ensure that you can have open too many apps open at a time.
The speed of your system also depends
on your processor. So, you can use 3 GB RAM mobile or 6 GB RAM mobile as per
your need.
- More
signal bars on your mobile means better network quality
This is the most common myth that people
believe upon. The network bars only indicate the signal strength not the signal
quality.
For instance, if you are near a
tower, you will see maximum network bar. But at the same time if large number
of people are using that service, then you will get a poor-quality speed.
