TeamViewer: a proprietary software application for remote control, desktop sharing, file transfer, online meetings and web conferencing between computers and mobiles

If you are not using this TeamViewer application
on your mobile or desktop, I will say that you are so much backward. Before
telling how to use it, I would like to explain the benefits of using this.
Let's imagine
the following situations first:
- Suppose you have gone for an entrance exam to somewhere
else far from your house and an important file(certificate) is left in
your laptop or PC in house. You need to transfer that file from your
laptop Or PC to mobile, then how can you do that?
- Suppose you have gone for a travel to a long
distance, and you are being bored in your way. But you have stored some
good movies in your laptop or PC and you want to see those, how can you do
that. How can you transfer or see that big size of file from your mobile?
- Suppose you want to present something in your
college or in front of a large audience. And you need to control it in your hand
not from PC, then how can you do that?
- Suppose your desktop have some problems and you are unable to fix that problem. You need to take that Desktop near a shopkeeper which is not easy. But you know someone who can fix that problem but he is far from you. Then what will you do in this case?
Solution of all
these problems is TeamViewer. These are only
a few examples. Beside these it has a large number of applications.
Using this you can remote control
your desktop with your mobile, you can share very big files over internet which
are not possible over email or WhatsApp or share it like applications, you can share your desktop screen to
your mobile and vice-versa, you can make online meetings, web conferencing and
a lot.
Note: The best thing is that it is
completely free with all these benefits for personal use.
Now, read the
blog completely. I will give a complete tutorial for installing and using
it, step by step with images.
I expect that you will not only read it but also install and
use it after reading it.
I will divide the tutorial in 2 main parts:
- Work in the Desktop or Laptop.
- Work in the Mobile.
- Work in the Desktop or Laptop
- First of all, go to your browser (Chrome/Microsoft
edge/Opera/Mozilla Firefox etc.) and search for TeamViewer.
- Then click on the official website of TeamViewer:
"https://www.teamviewer.com/en/".
- Then, click
on the download button.
- Then click in Download TeamViewer option.
An .exe file of size nearly 27 MB will be downloaded.
- Open the file and install it.
- Now select default installation and for personal
use. Your installation will start.
- You will see a window like this showing your teamviewer id and password.
- Click on the sign in option and then to sign up option, if you are using it for the first time. If you already have an
account you can log in.
- Now a pop-up window of "create TeamViewer account" will open. Enter your name and email id. Then set a password of your choice, confirm it and click on next.
- Now, a verification message will be sent to your
email account, open it.
- Now click on the link to activate your TeamViewer
account.
- Done, you have successfully created your TeamViewer
account. Now, enter your email id and the password you set while creating
your TeamViewer account in the step 9.
- You will see a window like this.
- close it and open your TeamViewer
application.
- Go to sign in option and sign in using your email
id and password. Tick the box saying that "keep me signed in".
- Click on remote control option. You will see your TeamViewer id and password.
- Tick the box saying "grant easy
access". A small pop-up window will open showing your email id. Click
on Assign option.
Done, your work on your
Desktop or laptop has completed.
Then open your mobile.
- Work in the mobile
- Open your play store and search for TeamViewer.
- Install it and then open it.
- Click on get started option.
- In the bottom, you will see 3 options: connect,
computer and chat. click on the computer option.
- Enter the same email id and password you have
just created before and logged in in your PC.
- Now, a screen will open saying to verify your
mobile device.
- For this a conformation message has been sent to
your email id. open it and click on "add to trusted device".
- Now a screen will open showing your TeamViewer id
and IP address. Click on "yes this device" and then
"trust". Your mobile device successfully added. From the next time you needn't have to follow these steps.
- Now again sign in with your email id and password
if it asks in your mobile.
- Now click on my computers then to the
"+" sign in the right side of the bottom. Then to computer
option.
- Now enter your TeamViewer id password and set a
name for your PC or Laptop in Alias option. Now click on the Tick option in the top near the cancel.
- You will see your Alias name now. Click on it.
- Voila! You have done. Now click on "Remote control
(using password)". You may ask for password, enter it.
A screen will open saying the guides, you can read these. Then click on continue.Now see the Magic 😍. Your Desktop screen is in your mobile and you have full control over it.
- You
can also click on the "Remote control (prompt for
confirmation)". You will see a confirmation screen on your desktop.
Allow it and enjoy.
- If you click on the 3rd option i.e. file transfer
and allow for media on your device, you will see the complete storage of
your PC.
- You can select any file/files of any size then
click on "my files" in the left bottom of your mobile and paste
in your Mobile by clicking on the number showing on the top. In my
example, as I selected one file it is showing me 1.
